The Beagle Pup G-AWEC was later changed to the Hong Kong registration VR-HGT and was flying by the Chin Brothers and their friends in Hong Kong since its epic arrival in 1972. Then the Chin Brothers was going overseas one by one. At the time Francis Chin, who was also going overseas, was the Commanding Officer of the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC). Francis was of the opinion that the Beagle Pup could be very useful if it was donated to the Air Cadets or the Air Scouts for flying training. The Beagle Pup is economical to run and it was kept in excellent top conditions by the Chin Brothers. With all the volunteer expertise of the air cadets and its officers, the Beagle Pup is the ideal training aircraft for the air cadets. |
